You can upload your SRT subtitles files (also VTT, SSA, TXT and others) and merge it with your MP4 video files online. VEED supports a range of subtitles and video files, and allows you to upload and hardcode (burn) them to your video.
You can also convert your subtitles to a different format, edit your subtitle text, font, color, size, shape, and background color.
You can even translate your subtitles into any language, with a single click!
Choose the video you want to add subtitles to. You can drag & drop it into the editor
Click ‘Subtitles’ > ‘Upload Subtitle File’, then select the SRT file you wish to add
All you have to do is hit the ‘Export’ button and your subtitles will automatically be burned (hardcoded) to your video. Your new subtitled video will save as a single file. Done!
Merging your MP4 and SRT files will mean that your subtitles are always visible, right from the start of the video, no waiting to be turned on/off by the user
Some platforms don’t allow you to upload SRT files, and some viewers may not have the software to watch videos with SRT. Merging with your MP4 file keeps everything simple
Adding subtitles to MP4 makes your video more accessible - to people who speak different languages, to people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, and to viewers who are watching without sound
It’s easy peasy. First, you upload your video file (just click the blue button above). Then you upload your subtitle file (just click ‘Subtitles’ > ‘Upload Subtitle File’). Then you hit ‘Export’. That’s it. Your subtitles will automatically be burned to your video.
To edit the text of your subtitle file, once you have uploaded it, simply click on the text boxes that appear (there will be one text box for each line of subtitles) then start typing. You can edit the font, color, size and more, by click on ‘Style’ under the ‘Subtitle’ menu.
All you have to do is (once you’ve uploaded your subtitles) click ‘Translate’ from the ‘Subtitle’ menu. You can choose from over 100 different languages, and your translation will be produced auto-magically!
VEED is compatible with multiple subtitle files including - SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA and TXT. VEED is also compatible with multiple video file types, including - MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, WMV, and more.
Hardcoded subtitles are subtitles that cannot be turned off by your viewer. They are always visible while the video is playing.
Closed Captions are subtitles that you can turn on/off. They are the opposite of hardcoded subtitles (sometimes known as Open Captions).
