Dubbing API is now live on VEED. It translates the speech in a video into another language, clones each speaker's voice to deliver the translation, and matches their lips to the new audio. Dubbing API is built for teams that localise video at scale, such as learning platforms, translation agencies, and AI video products, where studio dubbing is too slow and most dubbing models leave the mouth out of sync. It comes in two versions, Standard and Pro, covers 100 languages, and has been in early access with launch partners since mid-October.

What does Dubbing API do?
Dubbing API takes a video, translates what is said into the language you choose, and returns the same video with the speaker saying it in that language, in their own voice, with their lips moving to match. You send one request with the video and a target language; there is no voice training or per-speaker setup. Two versions are available:
- Standard: fast, affordable dubbing for most use cases, in 100 languages. $0.11 per second of video.
- Pro: precise lip sync, a choice of target accent, the original background audio kept, and support for multi-speaker videos such as podcasts and interviews. 94 languages plus 14 accent variants. $0.18 per second of video.
Both versions keep the speaker's tone, emotion, and body language from the original recording. Videos can be up to 10 minutes long.
What you can build with it
- Course and training libraries: dub an existing catalogue into new languages without re-recording, so learners see the instructor speak their language.
- Podcasts and interviews: Pro handles more than one speaker and keeps the room sound, so a two-person conversation still sounds like one.
- Marketing and ad localisation: take a campaign video into new markets without going back to production.
- AI video products: add dubbing as a native feature with one API call, with no training infrastructure on your side.
Why we built it
Most teams with a video library in one language never translate it, because the options are a studio re-shoot or a dub where the mouth keeps moving in English. There are plenty of dubbing models on the market, and few of them sync the lips. Dubbing API exists so a developer can send a video to one endpoint and get back a version that looks and sounds like it was recorded in the target language.
Availability
Dubbing API is available today to anyone with a VEED API account. Pricing is per second of video processed: $0.11 for Standard and $0.18 for Pro, with no minimum commitment. Both versions arrive on fal in early November.
