You can upload your SRT file (VTT, TXT, or other subtitle files) and merge it with your MOV file or QuickTime video in a few easy steps. Or, we have a magic button - Auto Transcribe! This automatically generates a transcript of your video’s original audio or uploaded audio file, and creates a timed subtitle track. You can also manually type your own subtitles, and make edits to the text of your uploaded subs, or auto-generated subs.
Click the blue button above to select your video file. You can add it from a folder on your Mac, Dropbox, a URL, or just drag & drop. It’s that easy
If you have a subtitle file to upload (like an SRT file) then click ‘Subtitles’ > ‘Upload Subtitle File’
You can automatically create a text transcript from your video by hitting the magic ‘Auto Transcribe’ button
Edit the subtitles, or type your own, by simply clicking on the text box and starting to type. When you’re finished, hit ‘Export’ and your new subtitled video will render in seconds
You can add subtitles to your video and ‘hardcode’ them to your new video file; this means they will always be visible. This is the same as Open Captions. (Closed Captions are subtitles you can turn on/off.)
You can automatically generate subtitles for your video on your Mac using speech recognition. Add subtitles with a single click, using VEED’s magical software
You can type your own subtitles, and easily make edits to SRT files. Click, type, edit. It’s as easy as that.
You can either upload a subtitle file that you already have, Auto Transcribe subtitles from video’s original audio (using our speech-recognition software).
Easy. Once you’ve uploaded your SRT file or auto-generated your subs, you simply click on the text box (there is one text box for each line of subtitles) and start to type. The changes will happen in real-time, and you can adjust the timing of each subtitle as well as the text.
You can change the text color, background color, font, size, and more - simply click on ‘Subtitles’ > ‘Styles’, and all the options are there. We’ve even created some template styles for you!
Once you’ve added your subs, to hardcode, or burn them to your mp4 file, all you have to do is hit the ‘Export’ button. That’s it! Your subtitles and video will automatically be saved as a single mp4 file.
Hardcoded subtitles are subtitles that cannot be turned off by your viewer. They are always visible while the video is playing.
Closed Captions are subtitles that you can turn on/off. They are the opposite of hardcoded subtitles (sometimes known as Open Captions).

Veed is a great piece of browser software with the best team I've ever seen.
Veed allows for subtitling, editing, effect/text encoding, and many more advanced features that other editors just can't compete with. The free version is wonderful, but the Pro version is beyond perfect. Keep in mind that this a browser editor we're talking about and the level of quality that Veed allows is stunning and a complete game changer at worst.
I love using VEED as the speech to subtitles transcription is the most accurate I've seen on the market.
It has enabled me to edit my videos in just a few minutes and bring my video content to the next level
The Best & Most Easy to Use Simple Video Editing Software!
I had tried tons of other online editors on the market and been disappointed. With VEED I haven't experienced any issues with the videos I create on there.
It has everything I need in one place such as the progress bar for my 1-minute clips, auto transcriptions for all my video content, and custom fonts for consistency in my visual branding.
